LFO/ldo/06.02.09                                                                                                                           CONFERENCE 1/1

FIRST GAIN CONFERENCE FOR RSL’s AND CONTRACTING INDUSTRY

Michael Jack, MP Is Keynote Speaker

‘Delivering warmth to those who need it most’ will be the theme for the first annual conference to be organised by the Grant Aided Heating Installers Network. It will take place at the Falcons Rugby Club, Newcastle, on Thursday May 14 and there will be an accompanying exhibition.

The Rt. Hon Michael Jack, MP, Chairman of the Environment & Rural Affairs Select Committee, will be keynote speaker for the Conference. The Parliamentary Committee he chairs has recently been conducting an enquiry into fuel poverty issues.

However, the Conference will span many key issues that concern registered social landlords and the contracting industry delivering grants. Although homing in on Warm Front and fuel poverty, it will also cover safety issues and CO awareness, the latest in renewables, and corporate social responsibility. The main sponsor is eaga PLC.

Suppliers to the energy efficiency industry are now being invited to exhibit at the Conference. The cost for a three-metre stand is £500 (early booking fee £450); with Gain members paying £375 and £300 respectively.

Enquiries from exhibitors and delegates should go to the Gain Secretariat at P O Box 12, Haslemere, Surrey GU27 3AH; tel: 01428 654011; fax: 01428 651401; e-mail: gainassociation@aol.com; web: www.gainassociation.org.uk.
