GAIN provides a collective, strong united voice:-

  • to advance the working partnership with scheme managers;
  • to present the heating and renewable installers' collective viewpoint, thus promoting understanding whilst saving scheme managers' time;
  • to provide an opportunity to discuss the specification and technical issues with the scheme managers, to negotiate on behalf of installers, particularly where new legislation results in extra cost, i.e. compliance with Building Regulations and gas safety regulations, etc;
  • to communicate with Defra in order to understand the policies behind the scheme, and put forward any need for change;
  • to promote the benefits of employing a GAIN member to Registered Social Landlords.

GAIN seeks positive reporting in the Press, on the Scheme from the installers' viewpoint, and to counter adverse publicity;

GAIN facilitates sub-groups to cover different aspects, i.e. a technical committee to take up matters with scheme managers and a marketing committee;

GAIN communicates policy matters to Members via reports and news bulletins - in the future perhaps by an annual seminar - and through its meetings encourages networking and shared knowledge to resolve any problems.
